Waterwise Botanicals 32151 Old Hwy 395 Bonsall, CA 92003 Saturday, July 1, 2017 9:00 p.m. - 11:00 a.m.   We have permission to sketch at this location. There is limited shade bring your water and an umbrella if you have one. Succulent Heaven! Their Website:  https://www.waterwisebotanicals.com/ Sketcher Spotlight Meet Sue Zinngrabe Gold   It's been a while, but I believe I found your group online.  I like the variety of places you choose for sketching.  Something for everyone -- buildings, people, animals, streets, farms, fishing pier, beach etc.  Up till now my favorite place to sketch has been the SD Zoo.  That will change as we visit more places.  (Right now the runner up is the Imperial Beach Fishing Pier.) Favorite Medium:  conte´ pencil with brush and water.  Sometimes pen or marker, lately using watercolor. Choosing a subject depends on what hits me.  Sometimes it's the angle of buildings, sometimes groups of people etc. Background:  Drawing, painting and printmaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago I love the ease of the Urban Sketcher mornings.  Relax and sketch.  Lots of good people to sketch with.  Love it. The only problem is that sometimes other obligations interfere. Don't have any photos of me sketching, but here's a sketch from the zoo, "Satu" the male Sumatran Orangutan (my favorite!)
